Gitte Nygaard works with various people such as film, photographer, and sculpture. Nygaard is making both jewellery and sculpture.

Mosquito brooches - when she first moved to Sweden there are so many mosquitos and that is what influent her in creating mosquito brooches. What is interesting the most about her jewellery is the material that she is working with which is called Binchotan. Binchotan is originally from Japan, it looks like coal, able to purify the water and hard as diamond. Nygaard use diamond bland when she works with Binchotan.
Nygaard is also do some installations. Here is an example of her installation. It called "Playgroud". In the photo is the small version of her idea about the "playground" installation.
Gitte Nygaard is the only Jewellery maker that I know who works with a wide range of people and making various artworks beside jewellery. To me it is quite interesting since I'm come from other field and try to work across various fields, like from video - flat screen into jewellery - real three Dimensional Objects. It somehow make me think of finding a way to transform from video artworks into Jewellery pieces.
