Schmuckmuseum at Pfortzeim

Wow. Interesting.

The collection of over 200 watches blew my mind.
There was a special exhibition where I discovered ethnic jewellery. There's places called Thailand, New Guinea, Africa, etc, where the people there have their own code of jewellery. It mainly consists of shells, fibres and things found in nature.

The Philip Weber collection blew my mind! After the visit I did some research and the history of watches surprised me! Who knew the pocket watches came about in the 17th century and were only luxury items before the 18th century! I didn’t! Wristwatch only came about after the WWI. The first worn timepiece was born in the 16th century and women wore watches as pendents!
