After one whole day in Schmuck, I have no idea about anything at all. There're various pieces that I like but at the same time I feel like I can't remember anything. I'm not sure weather it is because of me feel tired from the flight or there are too much to see? or is it because I don't know much about jewellery? or all above?
I only started to catch up with each piece and individual style of each artists when we started the Studio visit.
Peter Bauhuis is the first person that I can remember. I think simply because he said he is using wax for his pieces. Wax is the only thing I used to experiment with and have known about. Another reason is the way his jewellery piece designed. They look very simple on the surface but when you turn them around they all have various kind of structure underneath. To me it is like the way mushroom grow or trees branches. Moreover, Peter said that he doesn't like to spend time do the polishing which I feel the same way when I did my jewellery pieces. However, He did spend lots of time making the little branches underneath each pieces which is quite interesting.
Hi Baklang, I think this writing is about Peter Bauhuis? not Ruudt Peters. The work in your images is certainly by Bauhuis.
