Katerina Matechova - Schnitt Incision

A group collaborative - but I'm focusing just on the work of Katerina Matechova

She hand-drilled and cleaned ping pong balls so much to the extent finding out it was another object beforehand gave me a pretty good wow.

I think it was an incredibly fun, innovative and quirky piece of jewellery that she created with the balls. Not only do they look the part, they have the interesting background. There are thousands of things being remade and recycled, and there will always be more objects to recreate.

Seeing the form of the pieces makes you want to interact with them, and the fluid movement they have is smoothly organic and dynamic.

Coloured/white; you would think they are 3D-Printed. Knowing they're not... it's great. Adds zest and made me genuinely enjoy it.
